Can a ringworm infection create maggots on humans?!

Question: Can a ringworm infection create maggots on humans?
I'm taking a big risk asking this question as my neighbor may come across it and that would be AWKWARD. I've been surfing the web trying to find the answer with no success. My neighbor is ill and thought she might have the last stages of Morgellons disease. Her hair has been falling out and she has the symptoms. However, she went for a check up and was diagnosed with ringworm infection and they shaved some of her hair off. She visited me asking for help to improve the appearance of her scalp. I looked it up on line and ringworm is very contagious. I've got the heebie jeebies. A week ago I was in her apartment while she complained of more complications with her health and we found small looking items on her clean laundry that she claimed were parasites of some sort. I bagged them in a baggie for further inspection and I could swear up and down that I saw a maggot on the back of her hand. When I asked her what it was she immediately wiped it off with a towel. I have really long hair passed my buttocks and I have a cat. All day long I've been tormenting myself with paranoid thoughts of being infected. I can't help it, I'm a worry wart. If a human being is diagnosed with severe ringworm infection of the scalp is there a possibility that maggots could produce? Hopefully I get a quick answer and we can put this question to rest....I hope. Thanks to everyone helping. I really didn't know where else to go for answers except my Primary Care Physician!

Answers:

Ringworm doesn't involve any ACTUAL worm... So, no.

If you do get ringworm, anywhere on your body - then just get some athlete's foot creme. Ringworm is a fungal infection - the same as athlete's foot. It will work.

I got ringworm from my own cat, on my chest.
