why do scalps itch???????/?!

Question: Why do scalps itch???????/?
what makes them itchy

Answers:

The itch is a nerve impulse under the skin (only when you're awake does it work). Dry skin is most likely the symptom you're experiencing and its due to shampoo left on the scalp or excessive washing. Try washing with TGel every other day for a week and see if symptoms persist (if you don't have another serious skin disorder that simply is present on scalp as well as other limbs).

Good luck.

You may have developed a skin condition like psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis, accompanied by a yeast that forces your skin to grow more rapidly than normal. The overabundance of skin, in turn, encourages an overgrowth of the organisms that trigger?you guessed it?itching, says Robert Rietschel, M.D., chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans.

My personal solution: Look for shampoos that DO NOT contain sodium laurel sulphate or sodium laureth sulphate. Most likely found in health food stores, but I find a couple in departments stores now too. I use either "Nude" or "Live Clean."
