Question: I am on chemotherapy and need some advice on anti-nausients.?
Does anyone have a way to deal with my tummy that isn't going to do me other serious damage?

Anti-nausea medications do NOT have steroids in them. You can get one of several different anti-nausea medications - all you have to do is ask your oncologist and they will write you a prescription. There is Zofran, Phenergan, Compazine and Reglan - all of which will help with the nausea and allow you to work. Phenergan is the most sedating so you might want to avoid that one when you ask your doctor.

I've been using weed and promethazine (aka - Phenergan) daily to combat the nausea and vertigo caused by my brain damage in 94
I've had no side effects from either although the promethazine will make you drowsy at first.
I take promethazine during the day when being run over by an angry cow is a real possibility and dope in the evening when I can kick back.

Lemon drops candy may help you with the nausea; something about the sweet/sour does it for some. Have you explored a supplement called Graviola? It is a cancer fighter that attacks 12 (so far) different kinds of cancer cells, including lung, breast, colon and pancreatic cancers. The National Cancer Institure has been studying it for years. All I know is I saw it work w/o any other medicines or treatments. Just check it out. Adding you to my prayer list, Luv!
Pity the ginger doesn't work for you. Apart from smoking the weed..there have been very good results with tinctures..from a bottle and eye-dropper into your water or tea. It won't have you bouncing off the walls either. Again..Again,the problem was getting GPs to sign forms to allow you to be prescribed this THC-tincture.The Govt. has them running scared..ie.not my livihood--Fair enough too,I guess. Long Live War! Antiemetics do not contain steroids. Steroids are antiemetics. That's the difference. For me, zofran was great. I didn't even feel the slightest bit queasy.

There is a "drug" called marinol. Guess where it gets it's name. Right, marijuana. It is given to the elderly and cancer patients to stimulate appetite. Maybe mention this to your MD.
I know this is going to sound kind of pathetic, but worked when I was pregnant: Soda crackers...

The Bible is God's instruction book about how to live a God-honoring life so you can go to heaven after you die. The church can also get you baptized and prayed for. You can pray for yourself daily too. God guide your life.
