Dizziness and vomiting?!

Question: Dizziness and vomiting?
My mom has been experience dizziness for about 8 hours now. She went to work but they sent her home because she was obviously very ill. So my dad picked her up from work and then she started to vomit. She can barley stand up and keeps vomiting. My dad has taken her to the hospital right now, but i am still very scared for her. Do you have any idea what might be going on with her?? :(

Answers:

With only these two symptoms I think that there are a lot of posibilities of what her problem might be.
like....

It could be:
---Labyrinthitis, which is an ear disorder that involves irritation and swelling of the inner ear.
Symptoms include:
"vertigo" sensations
Dizziness
Hearing loss in one ear
Loss of balance, such as falling toward one side
Nausea and vomiting
Ringing ears

the parts of the inner ear gets irritated so that a person will have difficulties in balancing.

---Benign positional vertigo: Benign positional vertigo is due to a disturbance within the inner ear. The inner ear has fluid-filled tubes called semicircular canals. The canals are very sensitive to movement of the fluid, which occurs as you change position. The fluid movement allows your brain to interpret your body's position and maintain your balance.
Benign positional vertigo develops when a small piece of bone-like calcium breaks free and floats within the tube of the inner ear. This sends the brain confusing messages about your body's position.
The symptoms are:
Often starts suddenly
Most often, patients say they cannot roll in bed or tilt their head up to look at something.
Other symptoms can include:
Vision perception that things are jumping or moving
Vomiting

Also if she's menstruating this could be a cause too in some cases.. vomiting and dizziness. The dizziness might be coming from the loss of blood, too.
