Is it possible to get S.T.I.s from recieving oral sex on the penis?!

Question: Is it possible to get S.T.I.s from recieving oral sex on the penis?
I am planning to go to a... uh... 'party' next saturday, and I want to make sure I'll be safe if I don't use a condom.

Don't get me wrong, I would use a condom in an instant if I thought I had some kind of wound on my penis or if I've been told the girl has any kind of S.T.I., but I wouldn't want to sacrifice pleasure on my first sexual experience unneccecarily.

And please, if you're one of those kids who claim they're some kind of "medical student", but still insist that oral herpes (HSV-1) can somehow be transmitted to my genitals (HSV-2) without any open sores, don't bother giving me information. I'd rather use a condom than follow your advice.

Answers:

Yes you can.

And to Steven Tallarico; How can you tell someone to use a condom? You're last questions says you may have an STD from unprotected sex. Don't be a hypocrite.

Yes, there are numerous STDs and STIs you can get from oral sex. Although you seem to think that you can't get herpes from oral sex, you can. Hsv-1 can be spread to the genitals and it does not become hsv-2, it is still hsv-1 on your genitals. You can also get HIV, HPV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and hepatitis from oral sex.

just use a condom
