How can I disinfect a nice fake leather couch?!

My husband is really sick from a viral infection. He's always laying down on the couch in the living room instead of upstairs in the room because he doesn't want to be alone up there. The problem is that I am currently sleeping on that couch as I don't want to sleep with him and get sick too. At night time when he goes upstairs, Im left feeling uncomfortable when going to bed since he was on that couch all day touching it with his diry infected hands since he's always blowing an touching his nose and tissues. Would I get something just from that? Do I even have to clean it? how?
