I'm a teen, could i have hemorrhoids or colon cancer?!? Serious Please!!?!

Question: I'm a teen, could i have hemorrhoids or colon cancer?!? Serious Please!!?
Ok, so i'm a 14 year old girl, and lately, my anus has been very itchy and it somewhat stings. The other day, i wiped and there was a tiny bit of blood on the paper towel *NOT on my period*. I really got worried because my dad has Hemorrhoids. I do sometimes have what you could call 'constipation spells' (dry spells, rain spells, constipation spells?) Could i have hemorrhoids or colon cancer? Help!

Answers:

It definitely sounds like a hemorrhoid. Although colon cancer is not totally unheard of at your age, it is EXTREMELY rare, and typically does not present with the symptoms you describe. The symptoms you describe are 100% classic for hemorrhoids.
To set your mind fully at ease, make a routine appointment to see your primary doctor about it.
Oh, and eat more fruits and veggies, drink more water, and drink fewer caffeine-containing drinks (like colas, iced tea, and energy drinks: caffeine dries you out and can negate the beneficial effects of the fluids it is dissolved in). This will help you prevent those bouts of constipation. Regular exercise helps with this as well.

"First L" is correct though I would be more emphatic that this is not
a colorectal or anal carcinoma at age 14.
A simple rectal examination by your primary care physician
should clear up this concern and give you peace of mind.

Chances are you have a hemorrhoid, yes. Try drinking more water and maybe add some fiber to your diet. If it continues, I'd see a doctor, but roids come from straining when you're using the bathroom. I've never head of them being hereditary.

I really doubt it's colon cancer though. From what you describe I'd say roid.

Sounds like an Hemorrhoid. If it was cancer it would be more in your stool.

go to the doctor this could be serious!
