Does a kidney stone always hurt.?!

Question: Does a kidney stone always hurt.?
I am asking in addition to my other questions , I have had kidney stones in the past but they always hurt. But I was wondering if I may be passing one causing all the blood in my urine but I have no pain.

Answers:

No. I have one right now in my left kidney. It's small, and I was told unless it moves or blocks a pathway, it will not hurt. I have blood too. After seeing a urologist 3 times I was told not to worry about it, unless it gets large and moves. Have the size checked out. If you pass it, and it's larger, it's a painful event. My father had several throughout his life.

Kidney stones will pretty much always hurt unless you have some kind of condition that makes it so you feel no pain. Consult your doctor immediately because this could be an infection or some other serious problem.

vinegar dissolves calcium. Most stones are calcium.
try italian dressing on your salad.

kidney problems from diabetes? Avoid sugar. get the a1c test.

A) No my doc just recently discover that I had one for maybe 10 years (or more) and it hasn't bother me.

B) You MUST check that bleeding ASAP, NO GOOD

If the stone is small enough it will not hurt
