Question: I used to be allergic to tomato sauce when I was younger and now Iam not ?
How does that work I thought once your allergic to something it last forever?

Answers:

Allergies are a tricky business to begin and I could go into a long medical explanation, but the short and simple version is that as new cells emerge and old cells die off this can sometimes change the way a body reacts to an allergen or a "trigger". Consider yourself lucky, allergies can also get worse from childhood and not better. I had an intolerance of pecans. Now it includes ALL nuts.

Although the reaction to an allergen can change overt time I'd suggest looking closer at the product you are allergic to, with changing to legislation and public reaction to additives and coloring I'd suggest the allergen in question may not have been the sauce but instead a substance used in the production of the sauce that has since been removed

people change a lot when they grow older,
it also includes allergies to stuff.. it can change..
when i was a kid, i was allergic to all kinds of sea food,
now i can eat all the seafood i want :D

some people on the other hand could be different...
some are not allergic to peanuts when they were a child,
but as a grown up they could start allergies of that...
it varies i guess... it would be very hard to explain precisely
because people have different physical reactions from each other
and there are thousands of kinds of food so it varies a lot...

It depends what age you were when you were allergic to it. If you were 4-9 approximately, you were probably allergic to it because it was maybe too strong? When I was younger, I would get allergies to Parmesan cheese, and i would throw up. Now I can eat it without worrying. My mum told me it was because it was too strong for my stomach to handle.
i hope i helped somehow :)
P.S. Maybe try googling it?
