How can I get rid of this scar?!

I have this scar that is also red and dark on my forehead. I got it from trying to red rid of a mole with tweezers, yes that was very foolish of me. :'\ It's healed and all, but it just gotten red and kinda purple after. It's pretty dark and noticeable.
I put makeup/cover up, but it's still visible. :*(
I was wondering if you can recommend me any products to help me get rid of it and so that it can match my skin color again. I heard a lot about mederma, but does it really work? And it's so expensive. Are there any other products that are inexpensive?
