Im 31, and my late father was diagnosed with colon cancer at age 50? He died at age 66.

age 50 is when the average american should be getting a colonoscopy, but due to the fact that your father suffered from colon cancer very early in life, you should consider scheduling one soon. Talk to your PCP about a GI referral for the test, and about any and all GI symptoms you experience in the future.

the sooner the better really, if you have a family history of it, you may be at risk and it is better to check early in that case
