I want to get tested for STD's, but i don't know how to ask my parents!

Question: I want to get tested for STD's, but i don't know how to ask my parents...?
Hi,

So, my current boyfriend used to mess around with alot of girls. I don't know if he has anything. Because he jokes around about having stds and stuff. He doesn't do it often, but you know.

I've seriously talked to him about it, and he swears he doesn't have anything. He gets tested quite frequently, actually. His mothers request.

Anyways. I have quite a few symptoms of std's, and stuff. Such as LOTS of discharge, ect. And I want to ask my parents about getting tested. I don't want to get a rise out of them, though. I want to be mature about it, because i'm concerned for my health, you know?

I just don't want my dad to flip out on me, because he has just about every anger disorder you can think of. And my mom would probably flip out too, because she's bi polar, plus since she's had all her strokes, she's been very emotional, and stuff. So.

How should I go about telling my parents that i want to get tested?

Answers:

you don't need your parents to do. all you need to do is go to a doctors office or hospital and they can do it quickly and keep it confidential. it's like buying condoms, sure the legal age is 18, but they want you to be protective even if that means being below the age. incase you can't get yourself to the doctors or hospital, simply tell your mom your feeling sick, get a ride to the docotrs. tell her that your throat is aching and you want to see if its strep. try to get it to be just you and have ur mom wait outside. get a alone chat with the docotor. if that don't work, then why ur waiting, walk up and request to speak the docotr confidentially, if ya mom asks, say you had to ask them about periods or something. anyways, good luck. and make sure you **** clean guys, us guys have our ***** everywhere ya know

Do you have a planned parenthood in your area? or some other type of free clinic, they would'nt tell your parents. and you should be more careful
