Does ear antiseptic dry skin?!

I got my ears pierced at claire's about 5 weeks ago and I have cleaned them every day. And today I was feeling behind one of my ears and it felt really dry and wrinkly. So I picked at it and dry skin peeled off. It's not bleeding or anything, it's just wierd feeling. It still has a scabby feel to it and I can feel a few smaller spots of the dry skin. I can't see it but the skin I peeled looks fine. Just like peeled skin. Could this he from the aniseptic? Please help, I'm kind of freaked out :(
