Is diabetes inherited or a result of environmental factors...?!

Question: Is diabetes inherited or a result of environmental factors...?
Please give me a SHORT (PLEASE MAKE IT SHORT, LIKE ABOUT 4 or 5 SENTENCES) paragraph about if diabetes is inherited or environmental.

THANK YOU!

(not too complicated please)

Answers:

Both.

In type 1 diabetes, genetics, viruses, and autoimmune problems may play a role.

In type 2 diabetes (most commonly diagnosed) risk factors include:

Age over 45 years
A parent, brother, or sister with diabetes
Gestational diabetes or delivering a baby weighing more than 9 pounds
Heart disease
High blood cholesterol level
Obesity
Not getting enough exercise
Polycystic ovary disease (in women)
Previous impaired glucose tolerance
Some ethnic groups (particularly African Americans, Native Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Hispanic Americans)

It can be either. There is diabetes type 1 and type 2 and one is inherited (you have it from birth) and the other is from environmental factors but I forget which is which. Google it.
