Question: Appearance of coffee ground vomit?
Okay well first things first I'm about 8 weeks pregnant just now. This morning when I had my usual bout of morning sickness I threw up bile which had brown splodges in it. I had drunk some Cola about an hour before I was sick so I'm certain that would be the reason? I'm not suggesting that I do have coffee ground vomit as I know that can be a sign of upper GI bleeding and such but was wondering what is the appearance of it? Does it actually look like little grains of coffee?

I've seen many of these... it sort of looks grainy but they also smell very heavy of blood. If yours is "sploggy" I really think that is some of your cola you had to drink. Upper GI bleeding is somewhat thick and thoroughly dark brown to black in color.
