Constant rapid heart beat/ palpitations... What is wrong with me?!

Question: Constant rapid heart beat/ palpitations... What is wrong with me?
I have now 2 months with these symptoms, been to the doctor / emergency a bunch of times... Had blood tests, urine, EKG, echo, got checked for thyroid.. Nothing comes out... A doctor on the ER said it was Sinus tachycardia... I am on a beta blocker now, it works really good at first but when a few hours go by i start feeling the symptoms again and feel like im gonna get the tachycardia again. I Also have an over awareness of my heart beat even when its slow, i'm guessin maybe cause it pounds hard? Also If i exercise it starts beating super fast.. even if i walk a block.. idk but this is all stressin me out... i dont know what to do.. I was thinking maybe it could be Inappropriate Sinus tachycardia... They said it could be anxiety but i know anxiety is not gonna cause a constant rapid heart beat...

Any suggestions, opinions etc would be appreciated

Answers:

Actually, heart palpitations can, in fact, be caused by anxiety. I'm not saying it's the only cause, other things such as smoking, caffeine, exercise, diet pills, anemia, low levels of oxygen in your blood, certain heart diseases, certain medications, etc.--this list can go on!--can also cause palpitations.

I suffer from palpitations on an irregular basis. I haven't had an experience in possibly weeks, though, it doesn't happen often so I'm not sure. For me, I'm guessing it's just a mix of anxiety, second-hand smoking, and anemia. Hopefully it isn't anything serious...

Anyway, for all we know, you might not have tachycardia. Palpitations come in various forms, though few, so you might be safe as long as you take action to help yourself.

If you do have tachycardia, that, plus stress and anxiety, is probably what's causing the palpitations. I wouldn't know because I'm not a doctor or nurse, but I did a bit of my own research, so I'm just doing my best to help.

Tell me a bit more about your palpitations. For example, my palpitation feels like my heart is suddenly beating really hard, really fast. It's not exactly painful, but my chest tightens momentarily and it knocks the wind out of me, much like the feeling when someone suddenly sits on your chest and forces a bit of air out of your lungs. After it's over, if I focus real hard, I can't feel my heartbeat for a while. It's very brief, and it's never happened more than once in a day, from what I can recall.
