Should I put ice on a swollen, infected knee?!

Question: Should I put ice on a swollen, infected knee?
I have an infected shaving rash and my knee went all swollen, went to doctors and got antibiotics. still swallen and warm, should I put an icepack on it? will it make it better. I wanna play netball tonight.

Answers:

Ice probably won't help because it's in infection, just take your antibiotics until they are gone completely, or they won't work. Try taking Tylenol or ibuprofen.

If you knee is infected then, you should take antibiotics prescribe by your doctor. Also you should ask your doctor to give you some medicine antiseptic to clean that infection on keen, so you can apply it from outside to prevent further infection.

I would put hydrogen peroxide on it if there is any pain. Double duty of the oxygen is to releave the pain of infarction and to kill bacteria. Bacteria usually make a foam . Ending pain is obvious within a few seconds
