Continue taking the medication, but also drink A LOT of cranberry juice. It has something in it that even doctors say should help. Drinking it prevents them, and I believe it should hasten the curing of it. Also, drinking a shitload will clear out your system faster. The more you pee, the better. (Think, if you have a cold, you drink fluids to flush your system, it's the same concept).
I had a terrible UTI before worst pain ever but I had to drink a ton of cranberry juice and it worked i was also on amoxicillan and that helped also try using an over the counter medication called azo it helps with the pain of urinating however it turns your pee orange but its suppose to it's nothing to worry about.. Try peeing DON'T hold it in and make sure you wipe real good. Good luck feel better I know how bad it hurts!
U may have a kidney infection, I have used amoxicillin, trimithoprim, kefalexin all have worked for me In The past , drink plenty of fluid and if u can get ur hands on some cranberry juice that can help. UTI's are horrid, I suggest u go bk to doc and tell them ur symptoms xxx
The reason you take it for 10 days is because it takes that long to kill all the bacteria and to make sure it doesn't come back. Get you some Turmeric Capsules and take while you are taking your antibiotics. It will boost the antibiotic effect.
You will not be able to tell it is doing anything for a few days, maybe 3 or 4. Don't be so impatient. You can't be cured of everything in a day. Infections take time to get rid of.
I have never heard of anyone having a headache from a UTI. Unless it is causing your blood pressure to go up.
You say you are getting up every 5 minutes to go pee. Usually if you have a UTI, you feel like you have to go pee, but when you get there you really don't.
If you are peeing a lot, it sounds like you are doing much better.
