Swollen Eyelid. Help!!!?!

Question: Swollen Eyelid. Help!!!?
I'm a 13 year old girl. 2 days ago in science class my left eye started to really hurt but I didn't think anything of it. But as school passed, my eye became extremely sore and when I got home, it was swollen! So for the last 2 days, I've been soaking it with a hot cloth and salt and also a cucumber which has made the swelling go down a little but my eye is closed more than it's suppose to be because of the swelling,is there anything I can do to make my eye open back up to it's regular size?

Answers:

This is a sty which is a plugged oil gland. No eye make-up until it is healed, continue with the hot packs regularly. Stop the cucumber because you don't want an astringent effect - you want to bring this to a head so that it can eventually break open and drain. You can also go to WebMd.com and type in sty or chalazion (medical term for sty) and read up on how to care for these. Average healing time for these is about 2 weeks.

Don't use hot water. Ice your eyes. Wrap a cloth around some icecububes and place it on yOur eyes. Did you do a lab in science and come in contact with some acid. If so, go to a doctor ASAP.
