Question: My cholesterol LDL was considered high?
the nurse told me that i could work on lowring my LDL. I'm 26 and my overall cholesterol was 172. My LDL was 119. Tryglicorides (spelling???) was 73 or something like that... i know it was much less than 100.....and my HDL i don't remember the exact number but it too was under 100.....

Answers:

According to the American Heart Association, 100-129 LDL level is just above the optimal level. It's not high, but it does correspond to increase risk of developing cardiovascular disease. You want to aim for a level between 50-70.

Any one who says that BP or cholesterol effect a person's health is misinformed, or stupid, or a democrat.
There is absolutely no evidence that changing cholesterol or bp will make a person live longer.
Use your money to go on a vaacation and stop the nonsense.
