Question: Can you get cancer from having a computer on your lap?

usually at home, my laptop overheats and i put it on my lap so it doesn't over heat and i have it on my lap for a few hours per day and my brother says i can get cancer from the electricity. i also sleep on my phone so it'll wake me up when i go to school. haha sorry you may find this pretty wierd things to do.
but could this lead to cancer?

Hell soda can lead to pancreatic cancer so it might have some type of negative effect on your organs but many people both drink soda and lay their laptops on their laps and not all of them develop cancer. I think it depends on how often you do it. If it's only a few hours a day your risk is low but if you have it on there for almost 24/7 then I think you would be at more risk for some type of issue.

You shouldn't do either of those. You can actully get deep burns on your thighs from having your computer on it! Put a pillow between.
