When does an elevated heart rate become dangerous?!

Question: When does an elevated heart rate become dangerous?
I monitor my blood pressure regularly, and the cuff I use also shows my heart rate. It's consistently 80 beats per minute. For the past three days, it's been a little over 100. And I've been feeling a bit sluggish. The only thing I've been doing different is taking Loratadine for seasonal allergies. I'm guessing this is probably the cause, though my box doesn't have it listed as a side effect. Just how dangerous is an elevated heart rate, and how high is too high?

Answers:

A resting heart rate of 100 is not generally something to be concerned about in a healthy person; likely it is more to do with normal fluctuations.

Generally, when the heart is tachycardic it is >140 or so.
