Question: Question about heart palpitations?

I'm a 17 year old female and for the past year I've been having trouble with heart palpitations. They don't last long but they do cause me to sweat and feel short of breath. Within the last week I've been getting chest pains on my left side and in both of my shoulders. I really don't know what is happening so if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them! Thanks.

You may have an undiagnosed heart problem. The fact that you are sweating and short of breath with these is cause to worry. Please make an appointment with your doctor. They will probably get an EKG and echocardiogram. (neither one of them hurt). It is important to have this checked as soon as possible. It is better to know for sure whether it is anything or not. i do know that sometimes they can be caused from having two much caffeine whether you do or not im not sure thats about all i know
