What are the odds of catching HIV from massage? PLEASE HELP!!!!?!

Question: What are the odds of catching HIV from massage? PLEASE HELP!!!!?
Today i gave somebody a massage as part of my course ( massage therapy) they disclosed to me that they had HIV not wanting to discriminate i proceeded to massage.

During the massage i noticed a few burst scabbed over pimples i tried to avoid these areas.

After the massage i remembered i had a small pinprick scab on my finger from a blood test 7 days earlier literally the size of a spec.

What are the odds of contracting HIV like this? Please help i'm loosing sleep over this, i feel like i'm going crazy!!

hiv is pretty hard to get you need two open wounds not a pin prick and even then the odds are against it
despite all the clashes in sport there has only been one confirmed transfer of aids out of several million head clashes that have bled

It is very low but you still need to get tested. If any liquid happened to ooze from those sores you can get it though that pin prick you had. The incubation period is about 3-5 months. 3 being the earliest it is generally positive and 5 being the latest. You are within your rights to say no or to request medical gloves when touching a person with HIV. I'm in the medical field so we are taught to always wear gloves when touching someone, even if there is no apparent blood or secretions, and any medical professional that doesn't do this is not following protocol and can get in some serious trouble.

Your chances of getting HIV from a massage client are nil, unless you went on to have unprotected sex with him.

There has been exactly one documented case of wound-to-wound transmission of HIV ever, and it involved two people both with fresh, deep knife wounds, so even if your client has HIV, you are at no risk.

The only ways you can get HIV are by having sex with or sharing needles with someone who's HIV-positive.

While I'm not a doctor. I do know that they have programs that give HIV+ people massages on a regular basis. I highly doubt you would contract the virus in this manner. Maybe you are going into the wrong field. What if the person never told you? Are you going to assume everyone has HIV and then freak out about catching it? This seems to be a wake up call for you to maybe do something different. Especially, since most people are not going to tell you because they feel they will be treated differently. Good luck...

haha, if yo did get it thatd be nuts, get tested.
