Problems after smoking weed?!

Question: Problems after smoking weed?
I've done it many times but never really got high and the last time i did it, i got high the first time.

I feel like i have bronchitis after smoking it. Maybe because some of the stuff was breathed in when smoking it. Im coughing up mucous and all that junk.

Could this be the reason why I'm sick now or is it just because its going around?

Answers:

It could be both. If you are not sick though.. What method are you consuming it with? I'd go with a bong for smoother hits and it will solve all your coughing problems. Try putting ice in it. Will work I promise.

Cheers.

8 years smoking.

Short-Term Effects

The short-term effects of marijuana include:
Distorted perception (sights, sounds, time, touch)
Problems with memory and learning
Loss of coordination
Trouble with thinking and problem-solving
Increased heart rate, reduced blood pressure
Sometimes marijuana use can also produce anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic.
Effects on the Brain

The active ingredient in marijuana, delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, acts on cannabinoid receptors on nerve cells and influences the activity of those cells. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors, but other areas of the brain have few or none at all. Many cannabinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement.
When high doses of marijuana are used, usually when eaten in food rather than smoked, users can experience the following symptoms:

Hallucinations
Delusions
Impaired memory
Disorientation

Smoking marijuana, even infrequently, can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, and cause heavy coughing. Scientists have found that regular marijuana smokers can experience the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers do, including:
Daily cough and phlegm production
More frequent acute chest illnesses
Increased risk of lung infections

Could be either or. It depends on you really. If this continues to happen after you smoke, then its from the smoking. If not then it could just be a one time or uncommon affect you feel from smoking. But yes smoking usually does cause some affect like that, but its usually not that intense and your lungs heal very quickly. In about one day. If it lasts longer, then its a sickness, maybe u got it from sharing your bowl or blunt lol. Either way you should be fine, see a doctor if it lasts more than 2 days or gets worse

several years of smoking

This could be from either your lungs getting irritated by the hot smoke or just some germ you picked up if you were sharing the pipe or bong or what have you... I would recommend not smoking for a couple of days to see.

It's probably something else. I've never had this happen to me while using. For future reference you'd be better off on posting on 420chan for obvious reasons so you don't have to put up with the "weed is bad! stop smoking! derp!"

I have short of breathe right now cause I smoked for the first time, so I think thats normal...but I'm not sure nobody has responded on my question yet...can somebody please tell me. Source: just happened to me
