Answers:

You might be having a vasovagal response. Vasovagal usually starts during one's teen years and gets triggered by certain factors, such as stress or giving blood. Before fainting, a person with vasovagal might experience sweating, ringing in the ears, heart palpitations, and nausea.

I know someone with vasovagal who often faints when giving blood. George W. Bush is believed to have vasovagal because he fainted while choking on a pretzel, not due to a loss of oxygen, but probably because of the stress of the situation.

There are treatments for vasovagal. You should talk to your doctor about your symptoms. I wish you all the best.

Maybe you aren't drinking enough water and/or not eating enough food beforehand? Your blood sugar could be low when you get your blood drawn or it could just be the nerves or fear? OR maybe you are feeling the anticipation. The anticipation that it is going to happen makes your heart rate speed up and makes you feel really tense. Just remember to remain calm and just breath steadily when you get your blood drawn.

I had the same problem the first time I gave blood at a school blood drive (only given once) Near the end I started breathing really fast and feeling ready to pass out. I was seeing stars and I just couldn't calm down until I was walking around. had to go home from school.

Moast people hate needles and getting blood withdrawn is a major task. I think you just freak yourself out and put into action a chain of events that make you pass out
