My 2 and a half year old son has a low white blood count what could that mean?!
Question: My 2 and a half year old son has a low white blood count what could that mean?
Answers:
It could be something as minor as his immune system is not up to par yet and he should out grow it with a proper diet and medical care. Leukemia is usually diagnosed when the white blood cells are increased in number, so don't do unnecessary worrying, since the doctors didn't find their diagnoses yet. Please stay positive.

White Blood Count is sometimes a sign on Leukemia. HOWEVER, no one can diagnose your son on yahoo answers. Also, your uncle is your son's great uncle so the chance of hereditary disease between the two is slim. Just work with the doctors and support your son with whatever it is. I truly wish you the best of luck. I hope your son only has something minor. There's a good chance he's fine, there are alot of medical scares that amount to nothing.
Low White Blood Cell count means that his immune system will be a little more prone to infection and disease and he will have more trouble fighting them off. You will just need to make sure to take a good amount of precautions to try and keep him as healthy as possible.
