Question: IF I AM DIABETIC AND MY PANCREACE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY . Can I drink alcohol?
Answers:
NO,NO,NO! are you crazy.keep drinking you will drink one two many and the will be have a funeral for you pretty soon.your change will run out soon.
I have been a diabetic for 24 years.
Alcohol can exacerbate existing diabetic problems:
* Alcohol can increase pain, burning, tingling, numbness and other symptoms of nerve damage caused by diabetes.
* Three or more drinks a day can worsen diabetic eye disease.
* People who have high levels of triglycerides in their blood should not drink because alcohol affects how the liver clears fat from the blood and signals the liver to produce more triglycerides.
-Alcohol can interfere with the mechanisms that work to release glucose into the bloodstream that protect against low blood sugar. Hence, alcohol can worsen the risk of experiencing hypoglycemia.
I have type one diabetes and I drink i just have to check my blood alot and make sure its okay.
Liqure- makes blood sugar high
beer-makes blood sugar low
for alot of diabetics but not all.....
also, its not really the sugar but counting the carbs but......
IF THIS IS CAUSED BY YOU PREVOUSLY ABUSING ALCHOLAL DO NOT DRINK...
get into AA
Have Type 1 diabetes and history of alchoal abuse in my family (hough i dont abuse alchoal, ive seen it alot)
when your a diabetic, everything you eat is killing you, but if you don't eat you die, so you have to induce the least amount of necessary nourishment at a time. as to drinking they say beer 2p twice a week, or white wine. if you have been abusing yourself with alchol then your probably have problems with your liver. so drink yourself to death or live happily sober
diabetics shouldnt drink due to the sugar content of the drink
why drink if it causes incredible leg pains?
AND'
