i have a referral to see a urologist, can someone tell me exactly what will happ!

Question: I have a referral to see a urologist, can someone tell me exactly what will happen and what tests they'll do?
i have had a lot of kidney problems and infections recently, so my doctor is referring me to see a urologist for some tests. can anyone tell me what they will do, will it just be an ultrasound, and maybe some blood tests.

Answers:

Yes. my relative saw one and they did a test where they did look for narrow opening called a stricture which can cause blockage and infection. There is not really any test they do that is really painful or anything so not to worry. The test was scheduled after the first visit and done in the hospital as an outpatient.
His test by the way was negative and after a few rounds of antibiotics what ever it was seemed to resolve itself. Good luck.

In addition to those, an endoscopy of the bladder (cystoscopy) can take place, as well as taking the urine sample. Nothing to fear about anyway.
