Is this normal after a blood test?!

Question: Is this normal after a blood test?
Had a blood test yesterday and now have a bruise with purple spots

Answers:

yes and no
some people can bruise easier than others, it can fall down to poor practise some nurses wiggle the needle around to find the vain instead of taking it out and reinserting it.
The bruise is normally caused by the pooling of blood in that area to stop you bleeding to death its your body's natural defence.
next time you have blood take try holding your for arm against your upper arm very firmly while the Cotton swab is there before they put the plaster on. the pressure this creates reduces the amount of bruising as less blood flows to this point tricking your body into thinking that the blood has already clotted there.
don't worry tho its unsightly but will go away in no time you have nothing to worry about

nurse

It's not abnormal, but doesn't always happen. It has a lot to do with the person who took the blood, and how skilled they are at finding a good vein.

Yes, it's called a bruise!!
