Sensitive skin...down there?!

Question: Sensitive skin...down there?
Every time I shave down there I get a shaving rash for some reason and I was just wondering if anyone knew anyways I could fix this? I can't really wax because I don't have enough cash for it at the moment and I can't do those ones where you buy waxing strips and do it yourself.

First off, soak yourself in a bath or wet the area and place either shaving cream or hair conditioner. Use warm water as well. This will open your pores and create a cleaner shave. Trim long hair first if needed to make the process easier on you and your razor. This helps alot if you've never shaved or it's been a while and you're growing a jungle.. lol

Anyway, most important to avoid the problem you're having is ALWAYS use a good quality BRAND NEW razor. Put some rubbing alcohol on it first and then start to shave slowly. REAL slow. You don't have to go with the hair or against. Just do what you feel is best.

Use luke warm water to wash the area, feel what you did and see if you need to shave more, etc. Use a second new razor if you need to. Very important in preventing razor burn. When you're done rise with cold water to close your pores and prevent ingrown hairs.

Last tip and this may sting a little tiny bit but it's important. Take a bit of rubbing alcohol in the palm of your hand and put some on the area shaved. NOT INSIDE. You shouldn't have anything inside to shave anyway. This will disinfect it and helps A LOT.
Last step is to put some oil or cream. Non scented is best after you've just shaved. I like using coco butter though and it works real well.

Try not to have things rub there and irritate it for a couple of hours. IF you're home and can go without underwear then do so.

I have found that going "against the grain" usually creates a higher risk for rash. Shaving with the natural direction of the hair and using plenty of shaving cream has helped me. I hope you can figure out something that works!

Use warm water, be gentle and go slow, bit by bit. It might take a while but it should help
