Question: Is there something wrong with Japan? Because they keep having earthquakes?
Answers:
Tectonic plate movements. These are plates in the earth, too which their are several, Japan just so happens to be near three : http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRSw69ZgIyNSOZnKv6bLeqiazgxbvhFOHgLhEadzPeRbtyMtuLO
Which is by pure coincidence, why these plates cause earthquakes is by many reasons.
The Pacific plate moves fast in tectonic terms, at a rate of 9cm (3.5 inches) a year. This leads to the rapid buildup of huge amounts of energy. As the Pacific plate moves down, it sticks to the overhead plate and pulls it down too. Eventually, the join breaks, causing the seafloor to spring upwards several metres. The plate tectonics of the region are complex, and geologists are not sure which plate Japan sits on. Candidates include the Eurasian plate, the North American plate, the Okhotsk plate, and the Honshu microplate.
To give you an idea, the UK isn't on a plate boundary, so it doesn't have many "huge" earthquakes.
I hope it isn't confusing.
Its not just Japan, hon. The earth is shifting and moving at a violent state right now because it's aging.,,meaning getting older. When it first began it was at this very same state or one similar to it...which leads SOME scientists to believe that this may be the end of times. What do they teach you kids in school now days? Are they really leaving this stuff OUT COMPLETELY?! LOL...but really.
No nothings wrong.its all pretty normal after a tsunami to have earthquakes and all that so nothing out of the ordinary is happening.
Father is a weather man
Look up "ring of fire" and plate techtonics
everybody does or will have earthquakes
No, it's the techtonic plates.
It's not just Japan. Look up "Ring of Fire". They're on a huge fault line. California is part of it too.
