Low heart rate....42 bpm...at what point do I go to emergency?!

Question: Low heart rate....42 bpm...at what point do I go to emergency?
I've had a low heart rate, around 48-55 bpm for the last week with a low temperature 96.5-97.2 and have been extremely exhausted. I went to the doctor this morning and they are doing many blood tests. Thyroid, diabetes cholesterol, hepatitis etc. but I won't have the results for 3-4 days. Now my heart rate has dropped to 42 bpm although I feel o.k. right now but I am thinking When do I just go to the emergency.. I don't want to just let it keep dropping. I'm calling the hospital too, but just thought I'd ask here too. Thanks

Answers:

law heart rate is a healthy sign in some people, esp. athletes. if you are not fit, and you didn't have a law HR before, then don't wait, go and check it.
