My chest/heart hurt when I breathed (not for long, of course)?!

Question: My chest/heart hurt when I breathed (not for long, of course)?
This happened to me only once before, and it was when I was 10 (I'm 13 now).
Just a few minutes ago, my heart really started hurting (or something else in my left chest area), and it hurt when I was trying to get air in my lungs (the pain was preventing that) and it kept on going for a few seconds but suddenly stopped with a sort of popping bubbling feeling.
I'm really scared. I don't know what's going on.
It might be happening from one of these things, and might not, but if they help:
-I have a horrible sleep pattern. Some days I get more than enough hours. Mostly I don't. Less days I skip sleeping entirely. I take naps a few times a month, too.
-I'm not exactly the healthiest eater. I do eat healthy stuff, it's just that I add in junk food. I don't like soft drinks (soda and whatnot), I love water, drink milk (with cereal and Oreos), and some fruit juices (coconut juice, calamansi juice, mango juice, etc).
-I haven't been getting a lot of physical exercise these weeks. I have this skin problem that's been preventing me from doing PE.

Please help me, I'm really scared. I'm afraid to take deep breaths.

Dont worry I had this for years and it really scared me when I was a kid. I was told by a doc years ago that because I had pneumonia when I was little it left scar tissue in that area. it feels the exact same as you described. this also happens to my 14 year old daughter and has happened to my wife. I believe that the tissue on the left side of anyones chest is easier to damage. So when we get really bad colds and Cough Cough Cough..this tears something.what happens when your feeling this pain is inflammation of that area.the pop you are feeling is the muscle trying to contract.it can be really scary because you get scared to take a deep breath in and then just as quick as it came its gone.Try stretching, look on the internet for stretching exercises for the chest and this does help keep down the bouts. Good luck..........Sean

Tell your parent or guardian.

It is their responsibility to arrange for you to see a Dr if needed.

dont worry... that happens every once in a while. I've had that happen maybe 9-10 times in my life, and ive seen/heard others (even very healthy people) complain of the same thing. idk what exactly it is, but its nothing to worry about if it only lasted a few minutes or so... But if it starts happening often or for a prolonged period of time you should probably start worrying.
