God help my greg if he opens a shop up over there.

This does not even warrant an answer it is such an ignorant question...

Not ALL americans are fat... sometimes its overemphasized... many people are anorexic or bulimic because many are too scared of being fat... and many americans are fat cuz they don't get out and exercise and just eat fast food all day.

PH ?

Lazy.

Well, for one thing, you can't stereotype ALL Americans as fat. Because not all of them are.

But for those who are fat, it's because of their lifestyle. Most people have a sedentary lifestyle/ sit down jobs. Others don't have time to exercise or make healthy food choices (or have the money to pay for it) so they get fast food. And a lot of people are depressed and eat food for comfort. And with diabetes on the rise, that doesn't help the fat problem. It's a big mess, but it is real and happening.

The reasons are many, we usually have sedentary lifestyles, easy access to cheap high calorie foods, and fitness is not taught as an upstanding choice.

not gonna lie
im not fat and i am an american

U r wrong, americans are not so fat as u said , they are veeeeeeeeeeery fat

Not all people are fat from eating. You can gain weight from certain medications like antidepressants, illnesses like PCOS, thyroid conditions and...
some people are just made to be bigger.

I don't know why you care anyway. I'm glad everyone here isn't all skinny and looking the same as one another.

let's just say that the US has far more than it's fare share of fat people... have you ever been to America??? I've never seen so many fat people in my life and I've never seen so many very very fat people. At times it was like a wreak show... what I was handed in McDonalds could have fed an Ethiopian village for a week!

Oh Yeah!! the answer's that they eat too much... (obviously).. and they consume vast amounts of total garbage...

This is a FALLACY of both...:

I am an American. I have also been proud and happy to say I am of Irish decent--not sure whether I want to keep doing that or not...haven't noticed the best personalities or mindsets on here today. I got on thinking I would try to find friends and roots...I am hopeful...:-)
As to the question about Americans being fat, it is a huge :-) problem. Here are some of the reasons:
The food supply is full of steroids, hormones, antibiotics, vaccinations, and probably other drugs/etc. Many of these are planned and given to the animals that are intended as and/or to produce food, for the purpose of causing the animal to gain weight rapidly. Needless to say, it causes the people who eat these meat, dairy, & egg products to gain weight, too.
Our whole society is tending toward diminished personal responsibility. "Someone else made me do it," "It's someone else's fault," "It's genetic." While there are some disorders, conditions, etc. that precipitate weight gain and/or make it hard to lose weight, many people would just do what they want to do instead of what they need to do.
Americans are incredibly malnourished, as a whole, deficient in many essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and high quality protein because the mainstream food supply is depleted and poisoned on every hand. Most Americans have very toxic bodies, and the response of most doctors et al is to give them more drugs (which makes them more toxic and sicker). The body just can not function well under these circumstances. Money and control of the people is the goal apparently. Even our general water supply here is poisoned regularly with as many as 2000 chemicals, including fluoride and chlorine.
The doctors, clinics, pharmacies/pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals have made huge sums of money (billions or trillions of dollars?) drugging people and committing surgeries/-ectomies. Contrary to what they say, most of this is not only not "safe or effective," but it is in fact probably mostly (90%) harmful. I have known people, many of them friends and family who were killed under these circumstances.
Many people today are mainly focuses on pleasure (immediate gratification without question or forethought, much less weighing the consequences), and therefore, will sacrifice health, family, happiness (this sounds contradictory, but give it some thought), and even their souls. Sad indeed.
