Going on a trip, how should I work out without a gym?!

Question: I'm going to be traveling away from anything resembling a gym for almost a month, I now work out regularly and I am in pretty good shape. Being unable to run (socially impractical), I am not too worried about my cardio, but what about bodyweight training? Any suggestions on exercises and frequency? My diet will also be lighter and not as high in protein, so I don't want to loss muscle mass, what should I do? Thank you.

well cardio is easy-find an obscure staircase somewhere, go outside and run(sociall unaccepyable by who? fat people?) but if youre lifting heavy weight, I dont know how you can give your muscles a decent challange. Maybe get back to basics-push ups, chin ups ,sit ups, 8 count bodybuilders, lunges, squats. Try high reps and at a fast frequency-you should feel that. And as long as youre keeping your muscles active, I woudnt be too worried about losing mass-it takes as long to lose it as it takes to build it-and a bonus is, once youve got it, if you lose it you can build it back in 25% of the time it would take a person who wasnt previously in shape.
Like ok, say you took art101 10 years ago. now ur going back to school and u need art101 but you took it too long ago for it to count-but since you did take it before you dont have to repeat the course, but you do have to take a shorter refresher class-do u get it? im not a great communitcator-anyway, as long as you keep your muscles firing you should be able to maintain most of the mass you have now. Ur supposed to take 2 weeks off a year anyways...
hope i helped

skipping

Forget the gym.

Body weight exercises will keep you from losing muscle mass.

My friend used to buy heavy cans of food at the super market and use em as weights.... You can use anything heavy as weights!!!

Nothing beats good old sit-ups and push-ups. Anything that makes you lift your own body weight.

think of your own exercises like jogging and walking a lot
unless you want a strenous exercise
if so try circuit training like push ups and sit ups!

As long as you are not staying away more than 6 months, its OK to skip the exercise. You will not lose any muscle tone.

sounds like your cia or something. ok they had a excersise program for truck drivers on how many times around the semi would be a mile. soooooo i would get some soda bottels and some sand....fill them up and you have instent weights. you can keep them in your room or tent and freak out. might work better with a water bottle/ milk bottle type jug. just look at your surroundings and use what you got. think the glass is half full, not half empty.

For someone with good metitative skill, you can do leg lifts,
twists, and body bends. The closer to a yoga workout you
go the more energy is stored. Eat lite in carbs, and fish
while in foreign areas. Though it is good if you can to shop
fresh food markets while your away, see the culture. Do
not drink anything except coca cola, or bottled waters.

sit ups
push ups
squats
lunges
Resistance bands for biceps and triceps--u can adjust the resistance--and very easy to pack

Push ups for arms; sit ups for abs; squats for glutes and legs; lunges are also good for legs/glutes; and of course you can work your calf muscles on a step.

Strenuous activities. Otherwise , holding those muscles tense for at least 6 seconds.

i know this sounds bizzar but try it. BREATHING. i have taking up breathing exersizes and its helped me do better physically. ex: breathe in fully and hold till count of five and then exhale to count of five. you can find individual exersizes on the web or check out this book by Pam Grout called Jump start your metabolism. i know it sounds cheezy but it does work.
