weigh lifting wont actually make u loose weight, itll just make it way easier to lose weight when you do cardio.
you HAVE to do cardio to get this done. if you dont like running, get on the exercise bike at the gym or somewhere that has one. the best strategy is to put it in front of a tv, or read a book. ride that thing for 2 hours a day and youll lose weight fast
also change your diet.
no chips, chocolate, junk of any kind, butter, oil, cheese, pork, other fatty meats, no processed junk like pasta or white bread.
eat a crap load of fruits to fill yourself up. they will help you burn it off

Sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups can assist in losing weight but only if you are working out in your fat burning (heart rate) range. The only way for you to lose weight is to increase your heart rate but if you are working out to hard and your heart is to high then your body will start pulling it's needed resources from the first place it can get it from, your muscles. Muscles also burn fat so by killing your muscles, you're actually being being counter productive. If you are interested in finding your fat burning range there are a few sites that can assist you. There are some other factors involved but it's basically 220-your age= maximum cardio range, maximum cardio range x .5 to .6 is your fat burning zone.
