I would suggest getting back into an exercise regime. With any type of sports, you build up muscles that are particular to that sport.

What happens is that muscles will convert fat into muscles to build them up, however when you stop exercising, the muscles no longer need that extra "fuel" to build themselves up so what happens is they start to become fat again. The body will store that extra "fuel" for future use.

You don't have to get into an extreme exercise routine, just something that is consistent, this way, the body will use up that extra stored fuel and your body will have a toned look instead of a "cut" look.

in the middle ages they used The Rack.

Sorry, no.

ive never heard of somebody wanting long thighs.

Your theighs are huge because you isolate those muscles when working out. You can quit gymnastics and take on a sport that less strenuous on your legs, but other than that, you're stuck with them.

hey i am a gymnast too, learn to love those thighs! it is all muscle, and you want to keep it so that it doesn't get all flabby. good luck!

no natural treatments. You could take growth hormone however.

If you a gymnast your inner thigh are big becasue it is supose to be muscle if it is fat do pilates or tai chi.

Yoga is supposed to help lengthen muscles and make them less bulky and more graceful looking.

But that is not why I am responding. I am responding because I worked in an orthopedist's office once, and he used to lengthen peoples' limbs using a technique called the Ilizarov technique for limb lengthening. It is used to correct deformities. Basically as I understood it, the orthopedist, in surgery, breaks the bone -- like one of the leg bones. Then he applies an external fixation device, and the two fragments of the bone are fixated but not joined. New bone forms in the space between the bone fragments, and the limb is lengthened.

This is where it gets interesting. The external fixation device that holds the bone fragments stable has a screw in it. And when the bone has started to close in the space between the fragments, the wearer or his physician turns this screw -- and the two fragments of bone are moved a little further apart, so more new bone can grow.

As I said, this is not usually done as cosmetic surgery. It is used to correct deformities. the physician I worked for had a lovely young woman come in for this technique. Her family had a genetic variant toe. The small toe was actually on TOP of her foot -- over where it belonged, but on top. So of course, she looked really silly when she went to the beach, and she couldn't wear regular shoes at all. He moved her small toe to the side of the foot where it belongs, using the Ilizarov technique.

This is probably not a solution for you, though if you have the money and are desperate enough about your thighs, you probably could find a practitioner who would help you. I just send it because I thought it would interest you, and indeed, I think it is fascinating.
