Question: if i cut out most breads and pastas and such do 100 crunches and 20 pushups a days and jog in place for 5 minutes how much weight would i loose in about a week?

My bro works at a gym, and he says about 3 or so lbs... but most of physical things are mental so just think positive :)

5 pounds at the most. drink 64 oz. of water a day, no sodas, no fast food/resturaunt foods

It's impossible to give you an exact number, but not too much.

The running in place will net you about 50 calories a day which is nothing. The crunches and pushups will simply work your abs and chest/arms. And the cutting of the carbs will net you some weight loss, but most of it will be water weight.

If you want to lose wieght, this is what you do.

Figure out your BMR and activity level to get your total calories for the day. Then eat 500 calories less than that. After a week, you've lost 1 pound.

Exercise for at least 45 minutes a day for 6 days (I would say go for an hour). You can burn anywhere between 500 - 700 calories during this time depending on how hard you train. That means you've burned between 3000 - 4200 calories for those 6 days or burned .9 - 1.2 pounds. This pretty much means you lost 2 pounds and that's safely.

Well my cousin tried a similar route to that. She cut out carbs, sugar, fried foods, and she ran in place for 45 minutes a day and she lost 30lbs total and reached her goal weight. In a week she lost about 6-7 lbs with a pretty healthy diet and alot of water. I don't know results vary but one things for sure, you would definately have to work out longer than 5 minutes.
