Question: I'm a 17 yr old boy and I'm 5'7'' and 100lbs...I eat a lot but I'm still skinny! How can I gain weight? Also my bones are kind of small...like my wrists are very skinny...any suggestions?

You need to eat at least 3 meals a day. They need to be well-balanced and include lots of protein, which comes from meat, chicken and fish. You can also increase your protein intake with certain types of vegetables. Depends on what you like to eat. (That's what those supplements at GNC are, protein supplements. So if you eat more protein you won't have to waste your money on the supplements!) You also need to exercise! Weight lifting especially will help you gain weight and muscle mass, which is what it sounds like you need. It doesn't have to be power-lifting or anything crazy like that. Even lifting a 5 or 10 pound weight will help. (My boyfriend is a weight lifter and that last bit of advice came from him.)

go to either GNC or vitamin world...they have many supplements that help you seriously put on the pounds. just make sure you are working out and have a wellbalanced diet while on these so you don't get FAT!

whatever your eating now, double it (not junk food, keep it relatively healthy). to make your arms bigger start lifting heavy weights and perform compound movements. Google "compound exercise routine" to get an idea of where to start.

ok dont just eat fast foods that will make u gain weigh but its very unhealthy. just drink alot, soda egg nogg. etc. also eat lots of meat. chicken is very good for you because it have protein and that will help you mussels grow faster an makes you bigger.
and a pound of mussels weighs 3x more than 1 pound of fat. you could just work out and get stronger and heavier.

fitst you need to be carfull you dont want to gain to much weight because most of it will get in you arterys and veins. and that is not good at all wich can lead in to a lot of health problames so if you are going to do this be cafule on how you do this.

Talking to a dietitian is the safest way... that way, you can work with them to set up a meal plan and exercise regiment to help you gain weight.

Also, to note, the WORST way to gain weight is just to eat more... it's moreso eating the right things to gain the weight to make sure you're getting more of the healthy stuff.

I remember a Simpsons episode where Dr. Nick said that if you rub your food on the wall it will be your window to weight gain.

oh my god i have your stats and i'm a girl! you must be really tiny. you know you are way underweight, are you sure you eat enough, the RDA is 2500 calories, that is a lot of food, and to gain weight you should be getting more than that. you should add exercise like weight lifting to your diet aswell, and i guess drink protein shakes, i still cant believe how small you are! how do you buy clothes? i'm a size 00 lol.
