I've not read any investigations regarding a certain amount of water after using creatine. But, I can assure you, the amount is not in gallons as that would be dangerous to your health.

Creatine has not been found to do any liver or kidney damage. Regardless, it would be wise to drink normal (depending on your sweat level) amounts of water or even a slightly elevated amount. Creatine, however, can cause water retention so, keep that in mind.
