I need to tone-up & lose about 10 lbs?!


Question: I need to tone-up & lose 10 lbs FAST for a job. I was told that if I work out (cycle) in the cold I'll burn twice as many calories because the body needs to work harder to keep warm. Any truth to this???

Lose the bathroom scales.

Get a tape measure and create a target size for areas you want to gain or lose. It is because if you want to tone-up, you will need to build lean muscles that will burn fat. Muscles weight more than fat so if you lost 10 lbs of fat, you will gain around 6-8lbs of muscles BUT it will make you look leaner and better.

If you work out in the cold you will burn a little more calories but not much. Better if you work out with more intensity and variation. Instead of cycling 30 minutes at a 10km/h (it's an examples, i don't cycle so don't know the speed), do 3 sets at 10 minutes each at 20 km/h.

This way you raise your heartbeat 3x in a day and with the intensity will create more lean muscles faster. It will boost metabolism also so you will look like you lost 10 lbs.

Diet is also important. When I say diet it does not mean starving yourself. Choose healthy foods and eat 6 times in a day in healthy portions. This is the maintain and boost your metabolism. Starving yourself will slow down metabolism and when you binge, will automatically store the food as fat (body's reaction to starvation).

Remember, key is high metabolism. High metabolism consumes more fat so it will make you leaner.

hey girl!! ok so im all into sports and my coaches have always said that you need to sweat to lose weight... so i dont think you sweat any easier... you need to get really hot like in a gym... and sweat!! trust me! i know it sounds icky but it works!! also my sisters friend lost 25 lbs quick using this diet, tuna, eggs, oatmeal, and grilled chicken... you can eat as much as you want just dont add any salt or pepper or butter!! trust me!! it works!!

The key to this is also going to be eating healthy and providing you body with the proper nutrients to to provide your body enough energy to keep working out and cycling.

I know this may sound ridiculous and kinda corny but im telling you the Gods honest truth when I say this girl.... Get on the Nutri-System plan/ meal plan and healthy work out routine, nothing overboard you will look great in as soon as 2 1/2 3 weeks if you do it right and dont cheat sticking to the plan.

I know because both my girlfriends who had babys, gained a bunch of weight, like more than 10 pounds, went on the nutrisystem diet, eating plan after they had their babies and didnt cut corners on it, did the right way and in less then a month they were back to their orginal sizes they were before they were pregnant and they looked healthy, toned and shed the weight off like it was nothing! they are both now size 2 and size 4 but toned athletic build, slim, everythings back in its right place, it was amazing to see and witness overtime.

I have never had a weight problem but seeing that made me a believer in a weight loss plan....

there is no shorcut to lose ibs. get up early in the morning and jog in fresh air within 15 to 20 days you will get the result.
eat healthy food avoid junk food. drink lots of water.

I dont believe that to be true but I will tell you that you have to burn more calories than you take in and to burn more calories cardio works best. Muscle also helps you burn calories. Two forms of good cardio is Taebo and the eliptical. Taebo is not too hard and you can do about 20 minutes 3 to 4 days a week and see results. The eliptical works best for people who like the stair climbers or treadmills, because it does not put as much stress on your knees and joints but in a shorter time it will burn twice as many calories as the stairclimber and steppers .
