Just sharing my feelings..?!

Question: Okay I'm 5'2 and I weight 130-131lbs.
I'm looking to lose around 10 lbs.
I've never really lost weight before and so far I'm on the beginning of my 2nd week now and I've lost 1lb.
Not much but its a start and I'm very happy for myself.
Honestly I thought it would be a big fluke.
And I've found I'm not thinking "when this is over I can go back to my normal eating" infact when I think about my future I see myself still eating this amount, healthy and everything =]]

I'm just scared though I'l stop at just losing 1lb and then put it back on and not be able to lose all that I want to.
Yeah i know I'm not really severly overweight, but I just wanna lose a little to make me feel a bit more confident with my body.
=DD.

So do you think I'll be able to lose those whole 10lbs??
And any words of encouragement would be gladly appreciated

One pound already, that is AWESOME! Way to go. And I am glad that you are already feeling better and can see yourself sticking to a healthier lifestyle.

Now please do not get discouraged if your body stops losing weight, it is going to go through cycles where you may lose 5 pounds and it will be a week or two before you lose anymore weight. Adding a little exercise will help you get over this too. But another good measure is to keep track of the inches you are losing, because the scale may not change, but you may be dropping inches.

From my personal experience, I lost 2 inches around my stomach but didn't see a change on the scale because I was also building muscle at the same time. So don't get discouraged, the biggest thing is that you are feeling better, eating healthier, and living a healthier lifestyle. Which ultimately is your goal.

GOOD JOB!!

if you really set your mind to it, im sure that you will succeed. But remember that losing weight takes time, and it wont just come super easily so be patient and in the end it will be worth it.

dont eat any fast food, and only eat what you cook for yourself and you should be able to lose weight.

I'm sure that you'll be able to do it if that's what you really want. Just make sure you are eating a balanced and healthy diet. Take your time loosing the weight, don't go crazy.

Keep you attitude positive and yes it will happen. losing ten lbs is easier than you think.

You can do it ! By the sounds of it you sound determined to loss that little amount of weight and i hope your doing it the right way

keep on going and don't give up

Treat your body like an expensive care and give it the best fuel it can get

You only get one body so give it a rest when it needs it and listen to what your stomach really wants you to put into it!

I am 41 and am on the weight watchers plan. I have lost 60 lbs in 3 months, and still have another 40 to go, with the holidays its hard, but I haven't regained anything. Drink plenty of water, its a good filler when you get hungry. Walk. Walking is the best exercise. Don't fall victim to not eating or taking pills, this is not healthy and pills don't work. Instead, eat up to 6 meals a day...3 major meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and 3 little hold you overs (snacks: fruit, nuts, yogurt, chips (those vending machine sizes are good), chocolate is good for you in moderation, like have a candy bar if you want one, don't eat alot during these little meals, just enuff to take the edge off. Drink milk. Water. Juice (real juice, non of the fake stuff that are meant for kids, they are full of sugar substitutes)...It's not mind boggling...I take it one day at a time. I have friends to fall back on if I think that I can't get thru the day. You need a support group. An apple a day, may keep the doctor away, unless you eat a worm. I hope this helps. Good Luck! Trust me I know how hard it is to lose the weight, but I am happy with my progress.
