I need to lose 2 stone/30lbs in order to be healthy...help?!


Question: I'm 13 years old, 154lbs/11 stone, 5"4, 152cm..

I know I'm overweight and I need to lose 2 stone/30lbs to be healthy and happier..

How long would that take me to loose 2 stone/ 30lbs?

and could you give me any tips? thanks you guys...

( the healthy way..no diets or anything...)

Unfortunately, there is only one way to loose weight - to reduce your energy intake (how much you eat in terms of calories) below that of your energy output (how many calories you burn living, exercising etc)

So, that means cutting out high fat high calorie foods like fried food, sweets (candy), cakes, cookies and eating more fresh fruit and vegetables. Limit your meat intake to once a day, at most. Try to eat more fish and white meat, rather than red meat.

Loosing weight means that you are going to feel hungry for a while. On the more positive side, being 13 means your body is using a lot of energy just growing, so you should be able to loose weight quite easily.

Also, try not to think of it as "loosing weight" and then going back to your old eating habits - try to see it as a lifestyle change which means you'll get into good habits for the future.

I would advise you to see your doctor, who could give you a diet plan. You could also try joining a diet class - these can provide advice and support and encourage you to keep going.

Water water and more water.... cut out all sweet drinks soda tea coffee etc... eat lots of veggies and fruits and try to take a jog once a day good luck

Why is there always some idiot to give a stupid answer.
If you want to be healthy you need to eat the right types of food and exercise.
Someone of your age should be really active, maybe you are comfort eating for some other reason which needs to be looked at first.
How do your parents feel about all this, have you spoken to them about it.

like yourself i was over weight i took the option of gastric bypass i know that is not what you want one diet that did work for me was to have breakfast everyday my main meal at one o'clock for that i would have white meat veg and one boiled potato between meal time i did not cut out on what i like i just cut it down i lost 28lbs in three month's it stayed of for a while until i got diagnosed with under active thyroid now my weight is where i want it to be hope you find a solution for your life style good luck

I'm sure teenagers get to go for free or at a cheaper rate. It's healthy and easy to follow. There are a few teenagers at my weekly class. You can still 'treats' and eat plenty. I can't recommend it enough-I'd still be 5 stone overweight otherwise!

I lost that in 9 months. You could easily lose 2 stone by February/March.
