I've lost 20 pounds in two weeks. First I gained about 10lbs in four days by constantly stuffing myself. Then I ate about 1000-1500 Calories a day while walking about 10 miles each day carrying close to 100lbs, sleeping about 2 hrs a night. After 10 days of all that walking and starving I had lost about 20 pounds. I know a lot of guys who lost 30-40 pounds in two months.

However, you are probably a high school girl and not capable of this yet. Therefore do not do what I have.

omg why whould you do this to yourself? Eat 6 meals a day 1500 calories and exercise you will lose weight

No you can't do that. It's not healthy. You need at least 1500 calories a day. One starbucks small drink and your done for the day. Think about that.

500 calories a day! Wow, I wish I could. But I am not sure that healthy unless your really putting the right fuel in.

No.. your metabolism will go into survial mode and stop burning fuel and start storing fat. You'll constanly feel tired and slow. Once you start eatting normal again you'll gain all the weight back and then some more. Not a good idea.

that's basically starving yourself, and all that will do is make you end up benging. The safest way to lose weight is to set a reasonable goal, like 1 pound per week. Exercise vigorously and eat a healthy diet.

its not healthy to lose that much in one month. the most you should lose a week is 2-3 lbs which calculates to 8-12 lbs a month. you should meet with a nutritionist or a personal trainer to set up your own personal weight loss system.

no thats not healthy. i lost 20lbs in a month on weight watcher points and i didnt exercise at all.

You can lose alot of weight fast by under eating, but eventually you are likely to put it all back on and more once you break down, or gain access to more food.

not a good idea..the moment you lose the 20 pounds and eat regularly, you will gain all that weight back plus more. stick to a 1200-1500 calorie diet and exercise to keep the weight off

Just eat sensible and loose weight gradually. 500 calories a day is too little and could damage your health. fifteen hundred is about right if you aren't doing strenuous work .

True, 1/2 the weight loss will be your kidneys disintegrating, 1000 cals take your time.

probably but it doesn't sound healthy at all - cutting your calories that dramatically you will be losing out on tons of nutrients that your body needs to function properly - i personally wouldn't try it -- just throw in 20-30 minutes of moderate activity and you'll begin to see a different in about a month. Plus you'll be making your heart and lungs healthy - and that is more important than losing weight quickly.

you would lose a lot of weight with this sort of diet. you will also butcher your metabolism. by eating 500 calories a day, your body goes into starvation mode and your metabolism drops significantly. as soon as you start eating normally again, you will gain all of the weight back... and then some. try a balanced diet with anywhere from 1,200-1,600 calories a day and daily cardio exercise.

Probably pretty close. basal metabolism is about 2000 calories, and there are 4000 calories/ pound of fat. Some of what you loose is water though. Hard to get proper nutrition (or fiber) in a 500 calorie diet. In an emergency, it probably would work, but get the help of someone with experience. (not a doctor, of course)

dont be silly !!! fad diets dont work 500 cals per day is extremely in heathly and plus if you do lose anything as soon as you eat normally again you will put it all back on
if you want to do a diet do the weight watchers its full of choice you can eat plenty and you do lose weight trust me !!
also exercise is the key to losing weight on any diet you need to move to to lose weight

Limiting your calories to 500 a day would be starving yourself. You might loose weight this way, but it is not healthy and probably would not be permanent because once you started eating real food again your body would hold on to any nutrients it got and just gain weight again.
If you are so anxious to loose weight, why not do it healthily? Exercise and eat a balanced diet and those pounds will come off. If you do that you might loose 2 pounds a week, and which is a much healthier way to go about it.
