What can I eat/drink for my upset stomach?!


Question: On Sunday evening I was up from 9PM to 5AM vomiting (12 times altogether) and also have diarrhoea, nausea and headaches. Since then I've eaten only a piece of plain chicken and have been living on the odd cup of tea and orange squash.
Is there anything else I can eat/drink that won't make it any worse?

I would ensure that you drink plenty of clear, and definitely non-dairy, fluids. Dry toast, with at most a smear of spread would be ideal.

Toast no butter and a boiled egg.

Egg will help to bind you.

12 pints and a vindaloo will sort you out

try oatmeal/porridge with warm milk

Drink some pepto or 7up.

Yes, lots of water but not ice-cold, room temperature. Dry toast. Camomile tea or peppermint tea are both very soothing too.

lemonade!. it really works. open it, leave it out and let it go flat, then drink it. sounds weird. but yeah... give it a try. = ].

If you're still vomiting, you should stick to clear liquids only for now. Clear liquids include water,clear soups and gelatin. Once you're able to keep that down, slowly re-introduce solid food to your stomach, by keeping it simple and bland. Good starting foods are bananas, dry toast, rice, and applesauce (the BRAT diet).

dry toast with nothing on it. 7up is the best for upset stomach. One of the best things is Peppermints. Something in them causes your stomach to calm itself. Have you tried wonderful pink liquid for all your syptoms.

Drink lots of water and try dry toast.
as a general rule of thumb though any nausea or diarrhoea that lasts for longer than 48hrs you should really seek medical advice by either seeing your doctor or calling NHS direct if you are in the U.K

Better you may go for a medical checkup because you have vomitin more than 12 times it not only because of your food it may be your drinking water,drink milk,and orange juice for this,you may not get cure you must go there and that will be help you for quick relief...........

peppermint tea or ginger tea settles stomachs, maybe try dry toast, dont think chicken too good mate also watr to rehydrate is important ,sips all day.

why dont try light food

Lots of fluid and dry toast or just bread. Maybe some soup...

pineapple juice is brilliant for an upset stomach - helps with the diarrohea

White rice, apples, a glass of coca cola(which contains some beneficiary acids), milk products....
Just take it easy for a couple of days.
