How do I stop being lazy?!

Question: I care for my two kids (2 & 4) all week and work 30 hours in the evenings. I am exhausted by those things, but I know I need to get off my rump and exercise. I am so fat I can't stand it, but I'm just so tired. I always here that exercise will give me more energy, but it's hard to believe. How do I push myself through the frustration of exercise and just do it. If I started walking daily, how long does it generally take for the energy to kick in.

I don't know if it matters, but I've never enjoyed physical stuff. I was stick thin until I was about 26, but now am about 68 pounds overweight. I was never one to keep up playing tag or riding on bikes as a child.

I want to like exercize. I know I need it. But I hate it and don't know how to break through my bad attitude.

Please help!

try to incorporate it into your daily routines. run around the house with your kids, play with them, go to a park. Eat healthy with your family balancing calories, carbs, proteins and fats. eat big breakfasts, medium lunches and small dinners. Also you can do things like squats while you're brushing your teeth. I know it seems like you can't get more energy but physically you'll feel a lot better.

what a lazy way of figuring it out lol

do something you like for example turn up the radio and dance for 30 mins or so

well there are some motives to exercise...

-health effects: if you don't keep yourself healthy and in satisfactory shape at the least, your body will get that much worse as you get older.
-do it for your kids, set an example, be a role model

I am just like you but I started taking vitamins and now I feel more energy to clean my house and play with my two boys

Break down your exercise into short sessions throughout the day. Walk 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening during your break and increase the sessions as you get more comfortable. Make it fun. Take the kids skating, go on a family hike, go swimming at the gym, etc. Eventually the energy will slowly build up. It won't happen overnight, but as long as you keep active, you'll start to feel the energy (and lose weight).
