Am I at a healthy weight for 5'2?!

Question: I'm 5'2 and I weigh 105. I work out a little, but only on my abs for the most part (my favorite exercise is belly dance). I heard that if you start out at 5'0 you should weigh no less than 100lbs. For every inch after that, you need to gain 5 more pounds.

I'm 20 years old, and I eat what I want (I figured in one day about 2500-3500 calories). I'm concerned that there is something wrong. I went to the doctor and they sent me out with a clean bill of health, but just told me to eat more.

Is this normal, or am I the only one with collar bones that stick out?

Yes it is very normal.
I had clients who were exact the same way. What i could tell is that you have very vast metabolism and that you can eat whatever you want and not gain a pound of the bad weight. And i do hoe that you will stay that way.But i hope you know that your body will change later on and your metabolism will slow down.
So just stay active do what you your abs belly dancing as long as you keep on doing it.And you will be just fine.

Good luck.

well, I'm 5.1 and wiegh 130 so just eat more.

You're fine. I'm exactly the same size and weight.

ur body mass index is 19 not underweight .
u may just feel thin. the calorie count depends on the 'Quality' of the food too.
don't worry the first kid will pack the pounds on . also look at ur mom's weight to get a good indicator of where ur headed.

You should be fine. Your metabolism is probably high but that's okay, it's normal. I have a high metabolism as well... I'm 5'4 and weigh 115.

I'm 5'2" also. When I was 20, I weighed 110 and was very active. If you have a clean bill of health and are eating in a healthy fashion, just do as they said and try to up your caloric intake. If you continue to lose weight, you may want to have your thyroid levels checked. I used to eat like a pig and never gain an ounce, making all my friends terribly jealous. I found out after the birth of my first child that I had an overactive thyroid gland during those years.
