neither one is "good" for you. wheat bread is just as processed as white and only contains slightly more nutrients. healthy carbs are all natural AND consumed in their natural state. if you were to eat whole wheat kernels that would be healthy, whole wheat bread is not healthy.

Whole wheat bread and brown rice contain more nutrients because they haven't been processed. The have more vitamins, minerals and fiber than white bread and rice. Low carb diets work because they cut calories. A better approach is to get rid of bad carbs - sugar, white bread and saturated fats. These kinds of calories have been shown to be unhealthy and eliminating them from your diet will help not only with your diet but also your overall health.

yea wheat and white are the same go for the whole wheat

Wheat bread is better for you but if you are someone who doesn't care for wheat bread then you can try a 40 calorie white bread. It is only 40 calories and it taste the same as white bread. My doctor told me about this bread. It has less calories than both wheat bread and regular white bread. They sell it at walmart, you should try it.

Carbs in general aren't bad for you. It's the refined carbs (white breads and pastas) that are bad, because they're more easily stored as fat than complex carbs. Complex carbs, while having the same grams of carbs as refined carbs, take longer to burn. They don't cause a spike in blood sugar which releases insulin and encourages your body to store the carbs as fat. They're much better for you also because they still retain the vital vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that are now thought to help prevent cancer and heart disease. Don't be afraid of carbs, just be afraid of bad carbs.
