I want to lose 10-15 lbs by Jan. 2?!


Question: I just got out of school for Christmas break, and I have about 13 days before school starts again. I am going to see the Jonas Brothers+Hannah Montana concert on my birthday, January 5, and I want to look GOOD when Nick sees me.

I currently weigh 118 and I am 5 feet tall, but I want to get down to 100. I have a moderate diet, the basic all-american diet, but I eat very small portions. Okay, maybe not the all-american diet, a little better, but I want to change that. I don't like eating junk food all the time. I don't know how to cook, and when we do have heathy food around, the unhealthy food tempts me too much, and I usually go for that.

I used to cheer, but I stopped because we moved, and we haven't contacted anybody yet. I am taking Tae Kwon Do, and gym at school, but I still think that isn't enough. I have a really busy scedule, and it's hard to squeeze in exercise time. Okay, that's not true, I'm just not motivated to exercise.

Any advice?

You don't sound like you need top lose any weight. In fact I think a good stiff breeze will blow you a way.

Let's see... you can
1) Use a diuretic or laxative to dump anything in your system. Won't make you look better...
2) Cut off a limb. Likewise...
3) Wear really baggy clothes. Guessing the same...

What I'm trying to say is there is no way to get the kind of results you want in the time frame you offer. Get over it, and work towards the next time you want to look good.

I believe that weight loss always starts from mindset. This is the reason why i am able to lose 15kg in 2 months and maintain for 3 years straight, all the way till my pregnancy.

1) What is my goal? I want to lose __kg in __ time.
2) Why do I want to achieve this goal? (if possible, come up with 50 reasons)
3) If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
4) If I achieve it, what happiness will I have? (come up with as many reasons as possible)
5) What will happen to me if I continue my current situation for the next 10 years?
6) Then when do I want to take action?

Some solutions I can offer you for diet:
Breakfast: eat fruits/drink fruit juice
Lunch: Less carbo, more veg and fruits, less seafood, meat and eggs
Dinner: Same as lunch but no solid food after 8pm. Soups are great dinners

If you want to exercise to enhance the speed of weight loss. Go for some light jogging or do something you enjoy like an aerobic class or kick boxing class...
